“Your hair is a statement of style, an affirmation of beauty, and an expression of self-love.”
Adémola Mandella
Esther’s love of hair started at a very young age and has always been a constant source of creativity, especially in taming her own curly mane. She has forged her own path to the beauty world by graduating from high school early, being one of the younger graduates from Leon’s Beauty School, working in a salon while putting herself through college, and moving up the ranks to become one of the Head Stylists there before moving to New York.
Esther had further aspirations early on in her career and knew she wanted to take it to the next level. She moved to New York in 2017 to further her education at FIT where she graduated with honors with an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Advertising and Marketing Communications and Bachelor of Science in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing. While in school she was fortunate to also work in a NY hair salon, working her way up once again to being a Head Stylist.
Experiencing NY through fresh eyes and experimenting with her own hair on her social media, quickly escalated her to become a beauty influencer and promoter of various beauty brands. This outlet has allowed her to connect with people all over the world through her curly hair tutorials that spark up conversations and inspiration online. Esther is currently the Marketing and Product Development Coordinator for Kristin Ess Hair at Maesa.
Studio Nineteen was inspired from the culmination of years behind the chair, content creation, marketing and business knowledge gained from furthering her education. It is a place where she can continue to connect with her clients and have a creative outlet. Outside of the salon you can find her with a dessert in her hand or furry friend in tow.
